Technical Details for the RM210
Presenting the RM210 motor, featuring a robust four-cylinder radial piston design with oil bath lubrication, offering superior power within a compact 26kg (57.3lbs) housing. The moment of inertia for rotating parts is 1.9 lb.in² / 56 gm² (motor only). Now manufactured by Globe Airmotors B.V., the RM210 originates from the old Globe Pneumatic (Fenner) models and are equivalent to the MZR03. This heavy-duty air motor delivers power up to 4kW and has been used by our customers in many challenging environments. Explore a range of modular options, including brake, gearbox, foot bracket and control valve, providing opportunities for enhanced customisation.
The motor's performance can be inferred from the provided performance graphs. These graphs illustrate the motor's performance in isolation, without the valve. Valves introduce minimal pressure drop, maintaining output torque while reducing motor output speed by around 10-15% at 6 bar (90 psi) under maximum power. Starting torque remains unaffected. For applications like fan drives, where motors don't start under load, either Graph 1 (Torque-Speed) or Graph 3 (Power-Speed) can be used based on the required running torque or power alone. However, for applications such as hoists, winches, or track drives, where the motor starts under load, Graph 2's starting torque must also be considered. The starting torque varies within the range shown, depending on the angular position of the output shaft.
MacScott Bond stock a comprehensive range of modular motor, brake, and control valve options, along with foot brackets, Filter Regulator Lubricators, and silencers—all readily available. MacScott Bond maintains an extensive inventory of parts for the RM range. If you need a replacement or additional assistance in choosing the right motor, feel free to reach out to us. We'd be happy to help.
