Deceleration of Heavy Loads
Powerful heavy-duty self-compensating shock absorbers, weighing between 12.8kg and 146kg, are engineered for applications demanding high energy capacity and durability. These shock absorbers are effective for loads ranging from 700kg to 326,000kg, making them ideal for heavy mechanical engineering applications such as lift bridges, steel structures, and damping sluice systems. Designed primarily to decelerate moving masses at a defined end position, they function in the axial direction and, within permissible load limits, also serve as stops. Maintenance-free and ready to install, the CA2 to CA4 shock absorbers decelerate moving masses impacting the rod end button by displacing hydraulic oil through numerous metering orifices, ensuring a constant deceleration rate.
Accurate calculation and selection of shock absorbers, including the appropriate metering orifice pattern or hardness level, are crucial for optimal performance and safety. The ACE online calculation program aids in dimensioning and designing the shock absorbers by requiring parameters such as moving mass, impact velocity, propelling force or power, number of shock absorbers in parallel, and stroke cycles per hour.
